Mary Rust is a Radical Remission survivor of breast cancer. Diagnosed at age 36, she made the personal decision not to use conventional medicine, but rather to first try healing her cancer using other methods. Today, she currently has no evidence of cancer.

In 2008, two days after my 36th birthday, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer, for short). I had a family, including two young children (ages 6 and 8), a budding new career and so much to live for. My mother had passed away for ovarian cancer 10 years ago and I knew I needed to find a better way to treat myself. I needed to find a way to not only \"survive\" cancer but to \"Thrive\"!
\n[Note: My tumor was 1.5 cm large, and ER and PR positive. I chose to have no conventional medical treatment except for the original, excisional biopsy, which did not have clean margins. More surgery was recommended but I refused more surgery.]
\nThere is no \u201cmagic bullet\u201d or \u201cone size fit all\" protocol to heal cancer. Everybody is different. Different types of cancer, different genetics, different ethnic backgrounds, different life circumstances, etc. So it would make sense that everyone would have their own perfect formula to heal themselves. What I have found, however, is that there is one common path in all natural healing that I have developed into a simple formula. This is the formula I used to treat myself and I believe it is the basics to all true healing. \nRegarding what I think might cause cancer...
\n[I think] cancer is simply a symptom of an internal imbalance that has caused internal disfunction at a cellular level. When your internal environment is unbalanced or damaged from improper nutrition\/digestion, toxins, stress, emotional discord, current or present trauma(s), or some other metabolic stress, the body tries to rebalance itself which creates several of the inflamatory diseases we are experiencing today, including cancer. If you can address and fix the cause of the imbalance and boost\/support your own immune system, your body will be able to heal itself, by itself and the symptoms will go away. In my personal situation, I had just gone through personal trauma that left my family financially devastated. I honestly believe that my cancer had a lot to do with trying to manage the stress during this time. Dr. R.G. Hamer has done a lot of reseach with the connection between conflict resolution and cancer (New German Medicine). It's actually quite interesting. I also know that my diet needed improvement and there could have been some connection with my 14 amalgam fillings (which I removed with a biological dentist). Though I did not have any root canals, my understanding is that they too can wreak havoc with breast cancer. My journey has been absolutely amazing and eye opening into the key for true health and vitality.
